south east asia where i am at, is mostly dense jungle. we live in the cities, but the jungle is just several minutes away. the jungle here is dense dark green tropical jungle, similar to amazon jungle as we are at the equator as like amazon.
wovles are amongst the wild animals here, but i seldom see them in town. i know the folks in the jungle are faimiliar with them as we have saying here, for a spy. we call such a person 'wolf in chicken feather'.
the wolves here have a taste for chicken. and since wild chickens are difficult to get ( they can fly well and have sharp senses ), farm chickens are usualy then the choice meal for these wolves, much to the disgust of the chicken breeders. ( farm chickens are usually bred 'wild' and they roam free, unlike their unlucky industrial cousins who are made to spend a life of imprisonment for no good reason ).
the farmers, while not quite resorting to using guns, all have a catapult handy to 'welcome' the chicken stealing wolves. but of course, as the saying goes, ' as cunning as a wolf ' i have yet to see a wolf get stoned by a catapult. and they usually get their meal. the good thing is they steal only what they want, and leave the other chickens alone. the chickens usually make a lot of noise if they sense wolves nearby, so another local saying developed over the years, which is to sleep like a chicken.
ok, have a nice day.
